The risks during the surgery are infection, bleeding, anesthetic complication, injury to the uterus, bladder or other internal organs. The risk for future pregnancies include scar tissue formation, uterine rupture during labor and placenta accrete (where the placenta grows into the outer muscular layer of the uterus).
