Only Aleve (naproxen)?: If you were not also given pain medication, you can take aleve (naproxen) right away after your extractions. However, if you were given a pain medication, you should discuss the medication with your oral surgeon or the pharmacist, depending on what you were prescribed about taking both.

Depends: Depends on what drugs you have in your system from before, during, after the surgery. If you have no other pain meds onboard, then take the aleve (naproxen) before the numbness wears off. If not sure, ask the surgeon. I always advise my patients to do this.
