6-8 weeks average: It is normal for a small cyst to develop on the ovaries from time to time. Ovarian cysts are quite common in women during their reproductive years and may be a single cyst or many cysts. Most cysts are benign and only require monitoring. Most are cysts which develops from tissue that changes in the normal process of ovulation. They usually disappear within 6-8 weeks.

Depends: Most ovarian cyst resolve in 6 to 8 weeks. But if not then we need to think of , cause of the cyst. It could be part something more, and then pain does not go away. Such as it can be Endometriosis or it can increase in size or undergo torsion and then you will be in ER.

Depends: Yes, most likely it will resolve if it is a simple cyst (filled with fluid) and is less than 4 cm. Many persist and cause no problems. Others grow and can cause pain. Avoid strenuous activities and rapid movements, especially twisting until the cyst resolves.
