How do you get diagnosed with an anxiety disorder?

Doctor or therapist: A medical doctor or mental health professional can diagnose an anxiety disorder. It is important to know that anxiety disorders are highly treatable. I would recommend cognitive-behavioral therapies as they have been demonstrated to be empirically valid. There are several types of anxiety and depending on which you are diagnosed with would help determine the best course of treatment.
