Great question: Preparation for the interview is most important - research the subject, anticipate questions. Practice with a friend. Some people benefit from a program like toastmasters, which help people who are anxious with public speaking situations. Others are helped by a small dose of a prescribed medication called a beta-blocker, which reduces the adrenaline symptoms of nervousness in pressure situation.

Agree w Dr. Weiner.: Study your subject, practice your words ; engage in mock interviews. Breath in slowly ; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to.
