Wisdom tooth: Get your teeth checked for infection. It's on one side and you have bad breath. Good possibility it's from a localized source like a tooth since it's on one side, teeth will often refer pain to the ear and an infection can cause bad breath. Based on just the information provided i'd look toward a lower tooth in the back of the mouth as a possible cause.
