Avoid if possible: Buspirone is category b meaning no known risks but is not generally recommended in pregnancy but may be safer than other options. Most meds are cat c meaning not generally recommended esp in 1st trimester. Others are cat d, very risky. Best to use non-med strategies for anxiety management & stress reduction. Therapist can guide. Support network important. Consult physician re medication.
