Tests to evaluate the immune system can include complete blood count (CBC) with differential, peripheral blood smear, esr, immunoglobulin (ig) profile with total iga, igm, igg and at times ige (if eczema present). Total hemolytic complement (ch50) and as well as HIV may be checked.
