A member asked:

Can watermelon extract be applied directly on skin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Typically this is how we test for allergies, by a prick skin test. Usually reactions to watermelon are secondary to oral allergy, when you have a cross reaction of a fruit with a pollen, in this case ragweed. The prick test in that case for watermelon is negative.
