Probably normal: An empty sella refers to the case when, typically on mri, not is made that the sella turcica is filled with cerebrospinal fluid and the pituitary gland is not seen. This typically has no significance. If there is a specific endocrinologic problem, particularly with the pituitary, then an empty sella may be significant but this would be a rare case.
