Apical Periodontitis: Anytime a tooth or the supporting tissues around it are infected, you are always at risk of the infection spreading. The infection will spread through the path of least resistance, which usually will result in an abscess or fistula on the area of the tooth root. The longer the infection remains, the more damage to surrounding tissues will occur. Get a root canal or ext the tooth & get an implant.

Little: First, root canals are done on teeth when the pulp is diseased. Not all diseased pulps are dead or infected. If the pulp is inflamed, there is no chance of infection problems. If the pulp is necrotic and infected with no abscess at the end of the root, there is also little chance of infection spread. If the root is very long, the abscess could swell and be close to the sinus floor but drained by dr.

Careful....: An infection in this tooth can present serious complications. Immediate care can prevent these complications. Root canals are part of solving the problem. Although root canal treatment is not a life-long fix in a small percentage of cases, it is an accepted and recognized long-term solution to prevent infection. There is little risk in doing a root canal procedure for #11.
