See an OB/GYN: Irregularity is common for a variety of reasons, but if this is a new phenomenon for you it is always a good idea to see a professional and be evaluated. It also never hurts to establish a relationship with a doctor if you do not already have one.

This can be tough: The best way to address this is to get a full understanding of your menstrual flow and history over the last 6 months. Are those period; is the bleeding 7 days later light, heavy, etc? Are you on birth control pills? An exam and pelvic ultrasound may be in order.
