Uncommon at this age: She may need to be seen. Most likely she has benign premature adrenarche - early awakening of her adrenals. She will benefit from being examined and her doctor may want to get some labs and a bone age ( x ray of her left hand) to make sure she is not maturing too fast.

Adrenal glands: This is not so common but does happen as early as six in normal kids. The adrenal glands awaken before puberty and start putting out a higher level of hormones that effect the "stinky" of underarms. Antiperspirant use is safe at this age.If she shows increasing genital hair, nipple enlargement, rapid weight gain, etc have her seen.If these are stable, discuss at your next doc visit.
