I am having numbness and pain in my left arm and it goes all the way down to my fingers. what would be the cause of this.

Neurological : The things that come to mind are 1) cervical radiculopathy possibly caused by a cervical disk ore an entrapment syndrome 2) cardiac pain less likely due to your age 3) peripheral neuropathy caused by multiple possible ailments.

Some thots: This could be associated with a nerve compression in the neck, but could also represent compression of the brachial plexus, or at elbow or wrist. Need to sort out cervical radiculopathy, thoracic outlet syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, or carpal tunnel syndrome. Left arm symptoms sometimes involve cardiac problems. Get evaluation.
