Hot had chicken pox: If you are sure you have not had chicken pox, there is a small chance your could get it from a person who has shingles. If the spots are already crusted, the chance is very low. You should talk to your doctor about the chicken pox vaccine, since if you get chicken pox as an adult, it can be severe.

Shingles: Coming in contact with a Shingles rash/blister can infect someone who doesn’t have immunity to chickenpox. That person could develop chicken pox (not shingles).
