Ask your doctor: Depends on what you mean by "allergic" to it - there can be adverse reactions that are not really allergy. If you are truly allergic, it could be to another component of the pill, and another brand could be tried. Or, another steroid - methyprednisolone or Medrol (methylprednisolone) could be used. If your doctor doesn't have an answer, ask to see an allergist about this.
