Nsaids: Call your dr. For continuity of care. In general though, nsaids, such as aleve (naproxen) can be beneficial for dysmenorrhea and are safe with Prednisone and should be taken with food. Good luck.

NSAIDS: Usually nsaids like Ibuprofen help relieve uterine cramps. However the combination of Ibuprofen and Prednisone is not advisable as both irritate the stomach lining and can cause gastritis or ulceration. You could protect your stomach by taking Prilosec and taking Prednisone and Ibuprofen with food. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safer but if it doesn't help, only take Ibuprofen for a day or so. Discuss with your md.

Same thing you alway: For menst cramps, use whatever you found useful in the past. You do not mention how long on Prednisone or why. "allergy" to what? If you are allergic to any meds, do not use them for menstrual cramps.
