Sleep paralysis is: A normal part of sleep. During rem (dream) sleep, it's what keeps is in bed so we don't hurt ourselves. If you are referring to nightmares, this can be our brain trying to process something difficult. If it is happening frequently, seeing a psychotherapist could be helpful. Tale care.

Sleep Paralysis: It happens in rem sleep to everyone usually but when you wake up paralyzed it can be scary and panicky, simply blink your eyes and you will snap out of it also get a sleep study with mslt and rule out apnea and narcolepsy.
