A member asked:

What are the risks of performing a fibrobronchoscopy to a diabetic patient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No different: If the person with diabetes has no intercurrent medical problems such as heart disease the only increased risk is infection if the blood sugar control is poor and low blood sugars. The later can be prevented by working with your health care providers to do the proceedure early in the day if possible and adjust the medications accordingly.
