A member asked:

Is there a behavioral difference between unilateral hearing loss and add/adhd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely different: Adhd has the hallmark difficulties of impulsivity, starting and stopping behavior. Different subtypes vary in their difficulties with inattention, hyperactivity and with the new dsm-5, other associated problems. Mental executive functioning encompasses many underlying difficulties in adhd. Hearing loss affects the ability to receive auditory input prior to processing by the brain.
