A member asked:

What tips can you give me to cope with acute prostatitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Acute prostatitis: Assuming you have seen a physician and gotten a prescription for antibiotics, the discomfort can be helped somewhat by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen), warm tub soaks and elevation of the feet. Frequent ejaculations (although sometimes painful) can also hasten recovery.
