A doctor has provided 1 answer

3+7: The standard induction treatment of aml, "3+7" uses 2 chemotherapy drugs, 3 days of Daunorubicin or related anthracycline drug, and 7 days of cytosine arabinoside in a continuous IV infusion. Patients also get antibiotics, antifungal drugs and transfusions. Once in remission, treatment is either with more chemotherapy or a stem cell transplant, depending on risk of recurrence & available donor.
