Doubtful: If i understand your post; "porphyria" is a type of liver disease and involves a defect in the production of the 'heme" of hemoglobin. Attacks can produce severe alterations in the bodies electrolytes; and usually cause abdominal pain. It usually runs in families so if there is concern; a trip to your doctor for discussion and possible referral to a genetic counselor is in order. Best of luck!
