Many manifestations: Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver and can be caused by infection, toxin or vascular problems. Hepatitis can be acute or chronic. Chronic hepatitis often is asymptomatic (silent) and picked up by elevated liver enzymes in the blood. Acute hepatitis often causes jaundice, yellow eyes, anorexia, abdominal pain, dark urine and nausea. If you have concerns, see your doctor.
