A member asked:

Would all acne medication would work for my skin or will there be some that are more effective?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most will fail: There are a host of products offered that do nothing. Start with topical benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and/or retinoic acid as tolerated. If you are not clear in two weeks, you will need prescription-strength Rx from your physician. There are many options and your physician will help you find the mildest that is effective.
