Depends: Patella injuries and acl injuries are very different and encompasse a wide variation of different injuries. Each injury has very different recovery times. They vary from 2 weeks for a patella bruise, 12 weeks for a patella fracture, 4 months for a patella tendon rupture, to 8-9 months after surgery following an acl reconstruction.
