Knee Arthroscopy: A knee "scope" implies an arthroscopic surgery of the knee joint. In this procedure, we will use 2 or 3 small incisions to examine the inside of the knee joint with a fiberoptic telescope or "scope". Knee scope: A knee scope involves two or three small incisions (portals) with one of the portals containing the camera (arthroscope) and the other being the operative and working portal. Either hand held instruments, probes, or motorized shavers are used to address articular cartilage pathology, meniscal tearing or loose bodies.
