Went in for acl surgery yesterday. how long till the nerve block wears off and how much pain will i be in afterwards?

Not Much...: ...If you stay "ahead" of the pain that will inevitably come as the block recedes and wears off. The anesthetic effect will diminish variably depending on several factors, including the amount of medication you received, etc. As pain in this situation almost never surfaces full-force, there's time to begin oral medications in the early stages of discomfort.

Not so bad. : Assuming you had a femoral nerve block and there is not a catheter in place with a local infusion, most blocks where off in 24 hrs. Your recovery should be easily treated with Motrin and a mild narcotic if needed.
