Prevention, cleaning: Could be a multitude of reasons. A bad taste could be gingivitis or periodontitis. Are you brushing thoroughly and flossing daily? Do you brush your tongue. Your tongue is like a big thick carpet for plaque and all kinds of funky smells. Go to the dentist for an exam, cleaning, and diagnosis. Brush 2-3 times a day, floss daily, brush the tongue, use a good quality oral rinse such as listerine.

Physician/dentist.: Your symptoms can come from diet, sinuses, tonsils, bad gums, dirty teeth and many other sources. Start with the most likely in your opinion and see the correct person-either a dentist or physician. If they can't discover a reason, go see the other doctor.

Constant cleaning: Bad breath is most often bacterial related. The way to combat and prevent bad breath is daily meticulous brushing and flossing. Make sure your dentist checks for periodontal disease, since formation of pockets will make thorough cleaning very difficult or impossible.

Yes!: This combination can be a number of different causes, but it's most likely related to periodontal disease. This is a bacterial infection. You can fix it! start with thorough brushing and flossing, and brush the tongue too! then consult a periodontist for a full evaluation. It may seem to resolve after what you do at home, but beware because the disease may still be present!
