It sounds like: You may have a fungal infection with a superimposed bacterial infection. If red and painful, not just itching and irritated, you may need antibiotics. Start with lotrimin (clotrimazole) cream mixed with newsprint and a small amount of Hydrocortisone cream. I think u may need 2 get seen for antibiotics, use that until appt.
