It depends: Nausea is a common side effect with effexor (venlafaxine). Consult your own doctor about this -- but in my experience, these effects may resolve within a few days if you don't increase the dose. Your dose may be very gradually raised to antidepressant or antianxiety effectiveness. If using for anxiety, you may nee a lower dose than for depression. It depends on you and your doctor's decisions, though.
