A member asked:

I'm 12 weeks pregnant with a partial mole. what are my chances of having this baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is not a baby: A partial mole is not a baby. A partial molar pregnancy is a genetic accident. In a partial molar pregnancy, the egg receives two sets of chromosomes from the father, usually because two sperm have fertilized the egg. The fertilized egg ends up with 69 chromosomes instead of the normal 46.
