Conception determind: Molar pregnancies (complete or partial) occur rarely at the time of conception. A fetus may be present in partial molar pregnancies, however it will be small for gestational age and not growing well; at the same time, the placenta will be inhomogeneous on ultrasound and the amniotic fluid volume will frequently be decreased.
