Depends: If you have recently had the surgery, please check w your surgeon. If its been at least a couple of months, it should be ok on occasion. But it would be much better to increase your intake of fiber thru good food (fruits, vegetables, whole grains). Aim for 25g per day. Also be sure you drink plenty of water.

Short term : Constipation is fairly common after gastric bypass. Correctal laxative is ok for a short course. Long term constipation is best managed with fiber or miralax (polyethylene glycol).
