Anxiety disorder: You could certainly have an anxiety disorder, and klonpin alone would not be sufficient treatment. Many people have had slow-simmering anxiety for years before formal diagnosis. Antidepressants such as zoloft (sertraline) and others are more effective for longstanding anxiety, and cognitive behavioral & other psychotherapies can be really helpful also. Get psychiatry & therapy referrals from your doctor.

Try Cymbalta (duloxetine): Mood disorders are commonly associated with fibromyalgia. Especially depression and anxiety. Uncontrolled anxiety should be treated within medications such as ssri's (zoloft, paxil, (paroxetine) prozac) or snri's ( cymbalta, effexor) one of the frontline therapies for fibromyalgia is cymbalta. I would recommend talking with you physician about trying this medication. Routine exercise is also recommended.
