Probably not much: A mildly elevated WBC could reflect an infection. Assuming it is the neuts, this is also seen routinely in heavy smokers. Must be interpreted in the context of why th CBC was ordered in the first place.

Not significant: White blood cells fluctuate frequently.Many different things can cause elevation of white blood cells- including infection, inflammation, autoimmune disease/vasculitis , physical stress ( post seizure activity, strenous exercise), chronic disease- smoking, diabetes, heart disease, malignancy -etc.I don't think a half point higher in WBC is significant enough to worry. D/w your md in detail.
