Not contagious: Oral antibiotics are really not necessary in most cases of localized infection like boils. Incising and draining them, and packing them with antibiotic or iodoform gauze is usually the best treatment. However, if yours was small, has already come to head on its own and is no longer draining, it should be ok. Soap and water is fine. If they are open at all, keep them dressed. They arent contagious.
