My 11month olds temp went away. he still has a cough. doctor said he can only use salin drops and humidifier. when should i worry about cough?

If this is the aftermath of a mild viral infection (tracheitis or bronchitis) and the fever has resolved, a residual cough can linger for w couple of weeks in a child.
