See your doctor: Question #1: are you having any symptoms? (ie fatigue, rapid heart beat, dizziness, pale skin, shortness of breath, strange cravings). Questions #2: why do you have anemia? Anemia can come from blood loss, nutritional deficiencies, cancer, other illnesses. The doctor who obtained the blood work should be able to tell you why you have anemia, and what treatments or further testing should be done.

See your doctor: You will need a full evaluation for anemia. There are a wide variety of causes ranging from iron deficiency caused by occult bleeding to hematologist malignancies. Work with your doctor. Do not delay!

Anemia workup: You have anemia, which has many causes. Either your body is not making enough red blood cells, or you are losing them (ie bleeding). You need an anemia workup. This starts with looking at your "blood smear" under the microscope, a check of your reticulocyte count (baby blood cells), and other tests. You may need a colonoscopy if your doctor thinks you are losing blood. See your pcp!
