Not necessarily: It may mean you have developed an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin. This can vary from flat to the skin purplish patches to raised hives. The rash of Amoxicillin in mono is similar to the flat purplish one.If you don't have the fatigue, gland swelling & tosil enlargement seen in mono i would consider the rash more likely just a drug reaction.See your doctor for confirmation & addition to chart.
