Uncertain: The antibiotics Ampicillin & Amoxicillin are relatively contraindicated during mononucleosis because their use causes a nonallergic rash in close to 99% of the patients. [van der linden pd, van der lei j, vlug ae, stricker bh (august 1998). "skin reactions to antibacterial agents in general practice". J clin epidemiol 51 (8): 703–8] an allergist can test if you're allergic to penicillin.

No: A rash when taking Amoxicillin during mononucleosis is not an allergy and does not preclude future penicillin treatment.
