Exercise: Most important in any weight loss program, assuming one is overweight, is consistent frequent exercise. Then comes eating in a healthy manner (low saturated fat, low processed foods, low simple carbs, no fast foods, and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables).

Adolescent Dieting: Consistent weight loss is not easy for anyone, young or old. You must first realize that 1 lb per week is a safe and predictable rate of loss if you consume 3, 500 fewer calories (500/day) in a week. Faster loss is not sustainable and can have unwanted side effects. Motivation comes from within and positive results are a powerful motivator. Reinforce good habits, modify bad habits and be happy!
