A member asked:

If u have mild milk allergy with prick test negative . the lactose intolerance breath test will be negative or positive ? please reply thx ...

Two problems: The skin prick test looks for ige antibodies to a potential allergen. A negative test means allergy is much less likely, but skin tests can miss allergy. Lactose intolerance is not an allergy, so skin testing would not be helpful in a suspected case. The hydrogen breath test can be used to confirm lactose intolerance.
