Enzyme deficiency : Lactose intolerance is when the body cannot easily digest lactose, which is a sugar found in milk and dairy products.Lactose intolerance occurs when the small intestine does not make enough of an enzyme called lactase. Your body needs lactase to digest lactose. Milk protein intolerance is an allergy.
