RA: I am not aware rheumatoid arthritis affects only the back of the head. Are you sure of the diagnosis? Any other joints involved? Is there tenderness to touch just at the "edge" of the back skull where the neck begins? Ask your doctor if you might have a condition called suboccipital nauritis.
