An old, old study: Showed when parents raised concerns about their child's development, they were right 89% of the time. For free developmental assessment, call your state health division's early intervention program. No referral or diagnosis is needed.Personalize your child's information on the aap's healthy child app or website. Use developmental & autism-specific screens on firstsigns.Org. Keep us informed.

Developmental issues: If u think ur child has issues and u think something is wrong, seek another opinion. Go to a teaching hospital, where they have developmental clinics. In my practie i always listen to parents, and if after careful hx oand exam, if nothing is found, i refer for a consult if parents feel storngly about this.
