TMJ: This is usually a sign of incoordination between the jaw, the joint, the muscles that move the jaw and the firing pattern of the motor nerves going to the jaw muscles. This is commonly known as tmj. The best thing you can do for yourself is to see a dentist for examination, diagnosis and, if needed, referral to the proper specialist for treatment.

A few things: Could be a TMJ problem with bruxism. Other symptoms would include jaw joint pain. joint noises. Headaches, neck pain. if other symptoms present, see TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
