Monitor closely: Low fluid is a relative term. In some it can mean a problem in babies ability to swallow the fluid for recycling or produce more of it with healthy kidneys.A high resolution ultrasound can look at babies kidneys & bladder & see if they are normal or the outflow blocked. Delivery at a facility capable of advanced neonatal care might be necessary. For most it just create worry.

Get ultrasound: Lack of amniotic fluid can be a sign of kidney problems. You should have an ultrasound by an experienced person who can look for the kidneys. Without amniotic fluid the lungs will not develop properly.
