Absolutely: Fertility is highest if sex is in the 2 days before ovulation. Further, sperm live for several days in the mucus. If you are trying for pregnancy then have sex before ovulation. If trying to avoid pregnancy then use contraception because the window of conception is quite large (about day 6-21).
