Need more testing: Before anything else is done, if you have protein in your urine, you should have a 24 hour urine collection to quantify the total amount of protein. What to do after this depends on the amount of protein present. Trace blood, may not be significant. Ultrasound will not likely pickup any structural changes in your kidneys, but it can see stones, obstruction, or sometimes infection.
